Have had my boiler serviced today and have been told I need a replcement 3 port valve on the hot water cylinder. is this a part that an reasonably competent DIY person can fit (if anyone could give me an idea of the process involved it would be really helpful as I don't want to order it and then find I need specialist tools etc

Q: my heating system is only heating hot water at the moment the central heating is not working I have checked the divertor valve and it is not working it is a Honeywell 3 p0sition valve is this motor compatable. A: Yes it is. My three port valve (Landis & Staefa MA-V322C) gets very hot and buzzes. It seems to be stuck in the HW position. If I take the head off put into manual mid-position, I seem to get both HW and CW. Can I assume the actuator motor has expired and just needs replacing or should I do more checks?
