Like many of you with chronic back pain, I have tried everything imaginable to cope making it through the day. After 10 years of seeing multiple doctors, chiropractors, acupuncturists and massage therapists my hopes of living a normal Adrena Thrive life was diminished. The stress of the financial burden of medical bills along with the insecurity of whether the insurance companies will accept you with a pre-existing condition was unbearable. I grew up having big goals both on a personal and professional level but now my only goal was to make it though the day.

Surgeries, pain injections, pain killers and back pain devices would not help the fact that I woke up dreading the day that was in front of me. Furthermore, as the breadwinner of the family I didn't have a choice but to bear it and confront the day. Coping with the pain was one thing but the effect it had on my energy and focus was destroying the quality of my life both emotionally and physically. I didn't want anyone's pity so I would try to hide the pain to my family, friends and co-workers. However, I wasn't fooling anyone and soon was seen as being anti-social.

I had accepted the fact that modern medicine did not have the answers to cure my back problems but I knew if I could just regain some of my energy and focus I could lessen the emotional burden.
