Hey guys, selling this card on behalf of a friend of mine, he recently upgraded to a GTX 1070. Item: Gainward Phantom GTX 970 Age: 3 Years Price: R2500.00 Well im gonna buy the Asus GTX 980 strix but I dont think it really matters. Although the Asus GTX strix is overkill for 1080p. If you want to do two ASUS GTX 980s I would get a 1440p moniter. The phantom is ok though aswell. If you want alot of power than go with the ASUS GTX 980 STRIX. So yeah, the Gainward Phantom fits in the Coolermaster 130 with my Asrock mobo and Seasonic UPS. Edit: I took a quick pic so you can see the slight bit where it's "outside the edge." So the width is moe of an issue, but not a real issue. With those 8 phases work together, Gainward GTX 980 Phantom can be overclocked easily and safely , the overall efficiency can be improved, the choke noise and EMI noise also be reduced. Expertool II Gainward's Expertool II -- the brand-new utility adds flexible fan curve control and BIOS saving feature for powerful GTX 980 card. Hi, My first post so would like to say hello I've recently bought GTX 980 foolishly thinking I can run all games on max settings at stable 60 fps That's the case with most of the games but some require little bit extra to get stable 60 fps. Far Cry 4 comes in mind, I don't mention Assasin's Creed Unity as the game is what it is at the moment and my CPU is bottle-necking it a little bit. Test System Specs. With most gamers spending $200 or less on a GPU, the new GeForce GTX 960 is set to take over the so-called value sweet spot, offering a cost-effective way to enjoy high-end The Gainward GTX 970 Phantom features the same number of connectors as the reference card, but it uses mini HDMI and mini DisplayPort connectors. They might not be the best choice for all users.
